The Land of Nod Recalls Toddler Bed
Small toddler beds are a great way to transition children from their crib for naps and bedtime. However, a recent safety recall has been issued for the Nook Toddler Bed from The Land of Nod, which may not have been communicated to those who purchased the bed. If you have purchased this particular bed, it is important that you stop use immediately.The Reason for the RecallThe recall report was released on December 28, 2017. In four separate instances, it was found that the headboard of this bed could disconnect from the frame. In all instances, it fell inward onto the bed, resulting in one child being hit by a falling headboard. While this child was not injured, the bed was recalled due to potential injuries and entrapment hazard.Identifying This BedNot every type of The Land of Nod toddler bed was recalled by the company. The particular bed that is being recalled has a green and gray headboard that is matched with a gray footboard (see photo above). The SKU number for this bed is 404485, which is found near either the head or footboard. You should also see a label stating "Made in Vietnam" on these particular items.The Sale Date of These BedsThe recall on these beds affects beds sold from May 2015 through September 2017. Each of these beds costs about $500. They were available online directly from The Land of Nod and in many general online shops, such as Amazon.
