Angela L. Bard, M.D., FAAP

Angela BardDr. Angela Bard grew up in Indiana. She distinguished herself early by graduating as valedictorian of her high school class at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. She officially became an Indiana Hoosier when she decided to continue her education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. After finishing her undergraduate education, she began her medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine, where she discovered her love of pediatrics. Thus, she continued her training in pediatrics at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. After graduating from residency, she stayed at Riley Hospital for a year staffing the Level II nursery and lecturing at the medical school.

Dr. Bard moved to this area after completing her training in Indiana. During her distinguished career in Illinois, she has provided exemplary care for the children of the area, along with playing important roles on many boards and committees, including the Executive Boards at Anderson Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital, the Illinois State Medical Society, Madison County Medical Society, and the Steering Committee for Community Outreach Pediatric Experience at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She has also served as the President of the Medical Staff and the Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at Anderson Hospital. Her current hospital affiliations include Anderson Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and she has been board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is also an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

In her spare time, Dr. Bard loves to spend time with her two children and her husband.

Lizbeth H. Didriksen, M.D., FAAP

Dr Lizbeth DidriksenDr. Lizbeth Didriksen, originally from Boston, Massachusetts, completed her undergraduate education at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she received a degree in chemistry. She continued on to Saint Louis University School of Medicine for her medical training. After graduating from medical school, she completed her pediatric residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis. Dr. Didriksen then began her career as a pediatrician in Edwardsville. She eventually joined Dr. Bard in 1993, and together, they originated Bard and Didriksen Pediatrics.

While providing care for area children, Dr. Didriksen has served as a member of many committees and boards in the community, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Illinois State Medical Society and Madison County Medical Society. She has also served as the Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at Anderson Hospital. Current hospital affiliations include Anderson Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She has been board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Didriksen has volunteered her time by participating in medical mission trips to Jamaica several times in the past few years. She feels that it is also important to help children in areas where medical care is not as readily available as it is in the United States.

Dr. Didriksen also believes it is important to help educate future pediatricians, and therefore has participated in the Community Outreach Preceptor Education Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital since 1994. As a part of this program, a pediatric resident spends time with her in the office setting, learning about different aspects of pediatric practice. She has been appointed Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Didriksen has never forgotten her heritage as an alumna of Saint Louis University, and she remains a Billikens fan. She can frequently be spotted at Billiken basketball games with her husband. She loves to spend time with her two children and husband.

David B. Herman, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr-David-HermanDr. David Herman grew up in Cinncinnati, Ohio. For his undergraduate education, Dr. Herman chose Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he received a degree in chemistry and graduated summa cum laude. He subsequently attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, for his medical education. Dr. Herman was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for his achievements during medical school. He completed his pediatric residency training at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Herman practiced pediatrics in Alton, Illinois, for several years before joining Bard and Didriksen Pediatrics in 2006. His current hospital affiliations include Anderson Hospital, St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Herman acts as a preceptor for the Community Outreach Pediatric Education Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. As a part of this program, he provides a pediatric resident with the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working with a community pediatrician. Dr. Herman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Herman is a magician at heart, and he is always showing off new magic tricks around the office. Watch out, though, since Dr. Herman also likes to play practical jokes on his co-workers. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr. Jeong Kim-Judd, M.D., FAAP

Dr Kim JuddDr. Jeong Kim-Judd immigrated to the United States from Pusan, South Korea in 1994. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Central Washington University, she pursued a career in medicine, graduating from Netherlands-Antilles University School of Medicine. Acknowledging a love for and desire to serve children, she chose to pursue a residency in pediatrics graduating from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She continued a career in general pediatrics, becoming board-certified. She relocated to the Edwardsville area from her prior practice in North Carolina. Dr. Kim-Judd is an accomplished pianist and classical guitarist, and is fluent in both English and Korean. She has two young children, a son and a daughter.

Dr. Tori Boyer, NP

Dr Tori-BoyerTori Boyer, Doctor of Nursing Practice and Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Primary Care, has joined the team at Bard & Didriksen Pediatrics. Tori, the Glen Carbon, IL native, attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barnes-Jewish Goldfarb School of Nursing (SON) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) graduate degree, specializing in Pediatric Primary Care from Maryville University in St. Louis. She comes to us with experience as a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH), Research Nurse Coordinator at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, and Faculty appointed Research Associate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, School of Medicine.

Tori is highly passionate about pediatric health promotion/wellness and providing exceptional care to her patients and their families. Tori’s doctoral scholarly work was dedicated to improving the care of the pediatric population through the implementation of evidence-based guidelines. With a high regard for clinical research, she uses her experience to evaluate and implement novel care techniques in her clinical practice.

Throughout her journey in Nursing, Tori has achieved many academic accomplishments, i.e., graduating with the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude) and receiving the Norma & Jack Edlin Education Award for Academic Excellence and Continuing Education from Goldfarb SON. Tori was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing – Tau Iota Chapter in 2016 and volunteers/serves as an Alumni-Mentor for nursing students at Goldfarb. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Her non-academic interests include cooking, reading, exercising, and attending local community events. Most of all, Tori enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Throughout her Nursing journey, it has been Tori’s utmost desire to advance her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Bard & Didriksen Pediatrics. She firmly believes in the practice’s core principles and values to provide exceptional family/patient-centered care. Tori looks forward to joining a force of care providers that display hard work and dedication as they provide high-quality services to their patients.
